These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of www.metropolisbeats.com and any beat licenses purchased from Metropolis Beats ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing a license or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before completing any transaction.
By accessing or using the Site, placing an order, or downloading any files, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a business, label, or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
All beats sold on Metropolis Beats are licensed, not sold outright, unless purchased as Exclusive Rights. The following table summarizes the rights granted under each license type:

All licenses are non-transferable. You may not sublicense, resell, or assign your license rights to any third party without prior written consent from Metropolis Beats.
Lease licenses are non-exclusive, meaning the same beat may be licensed to multiple artists simultaneously until it is purchased under Exclusive Rights.
Upon purchase of an Exclusive Rights license, the following terms apply:
Exclusive Rights do not transfer the master recording of the beat itself — they grant you sole future licensing rights to that beat for your recordings. The underlying composition copyright remains with Metropolis Beats.

All prices are listed in USD. Payment is processed securely through Stripe or PayPal. Your license files will be delivered electronically to the email address provided at checkout immediately upon payment confirmation.
If you do not receive your files within 24 hours of purchase, please contact us at privacy@metropolisbeats.com with your order details.
We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already completed.
Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits once files have been delivered.
Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:
To request an exception, contact us within 7 days of purchase at privacy@metropolisbeats.com with your order confirmation and a description of the issue.
We strongly encourage you to preview all beats thoroughly before purchasing. All beats are available for preview on the Site before any commitment is required.
All license types require producer credit on any released recording. The credit must appear as:
"Prod. by Metropolis Beats" — in the song title, description, metadata, or liner notes of any released recording using a licensed beat.
Failure to provide proper credit does not void your license but constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in license termination at our discretion.
Basic & Unlimited Lease: Metropolis Beats retains all publishing rights to the underlying composition. You are responsible for ensuring your distributor and PRO registrations accurately reflect this. Do not register the beat as your own original composition.
Exclusive Rights: You retain 100% of publishing rights on your recorded song. Metropolis Beats waives its claim to publishing royalties on your master recording. However, we retain the underlying composition copyright to the instrumental itself.
We are not responsible for any content ID claims, YouTube monetization disputes, or streaming platform issues arising from failure to properly credit or clear rights. It is your responsibility to ensure proper PRO registration and metadata accuracy.
All beats, compositions, sound recordings, and content on this Site are the intellectual property of Metropolis Beats and are protected by United States and international copyright law.
Purchasing a license grants you specific usage rights as outlined in your license tier. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying beat, composition, or any associated intellectual property to you.
Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use of our beats outside the scope of your purchased license is a violation of copyright law and these Terms, and may result in legal action.
By purchasing a license, you represent and warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Metropolis Beats and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or any licensed content, including but not limited to:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or any license purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the applicable license.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Metropolis Beats and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
For minor disputes, we encourage you to contact us directly at privacy@metropolisbeats.com before pursuing any legal action — most issues can be resolved quickly and fairly.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site or any licenses purchased after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Licenses already purchased are governed by the Terms in effect at the time of purchase.
